The Freaks Come Out at Night: U2 Edition

by Samuel Febres

This past Friday, I had the awesome privilege of seeing U2 play live with Muse doing the opening honors. I’m a huge fan of both bands, and have never seen either of them perform live, so this was a huge treat for me and the wife. We drove down to Tampa to catch the show at Raymond James Stadium on Friday night.

The newest member of U2 ya'll!

It was an awesome experience. The sound was awesome, the show and stage was great. I’ve got a few other photos and audio clips that I would like to share, but before I post those online, I would like to share something a little ‘special.’

The U2 Claw/Spaceship

You know it’s bound to happen that if you put over 70,000 people into a giant stadium (a new record for Raymond James apparently), serve them beer and play some loud rock and roll, there are bound to be a few ‘special folks’ that make an appearance.

I had the pleasure of having one sitting a few rows down from me. Check out these dance moves.

You’re welcome.
